Conference in the European Parliament: "A Journey of Cultural Rediscovery: Armenian Heritage in Turkey"
AGBU Europe Conference Announcement, Brussels, October 23 2008 - AGBU Europe will host a conference in the European Parliament on the rediscovery of Armenians and of Armenian cultural heritage in Turkey.
Karabakh delegation in Brussels to engage with EU policy-makers
AGBU Europe, Brussels, 14 October 2008. Officials from the Republic of Nagorno- Karabakh will visit Brussels this week at the invitation of AGBU Europe, the European branch of an international organization of the Armenian Diaspora. Mr Eduard Atanesyan (Deputy Foreign Minister of NKR) and David Babayan (Head of Information Department of the NKR president’s staff) will take part, as experts, in a round table hosted in partnership with the Heinrich Böll Foundation (Brussels Office) to discuss the situation in an around Karabagh and EU policy concerning the territory. They will also attend other events and meetings in Brussels.
Euro-Parliament hearing on Turkish-Armenian border
TEPSA, Brussels. On 7 November in Brussels, on the occasion of a meeting of the EU-Turkey Joint Parliamentary Committee and the European Parliament Delegation to the EU-Armenia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee, two authors of TEPSA’s study on “The case for opening the Turkish-Armenian border”, presented the results of their work to the Members of the European Parliament.
