Individual Action Plans for Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaidjan, to be agreed within the framework of the European Neighborhood Policy, are expected to be approved during the EU Council for Common and Foreign Relations to be held in Brussels February 27-28.

PanArmenian Network, Yerevan, 09/01/2006

This is stated in a preliminary agenda of the EU Council meeting drawn up by Austria, which will preside the EU until June 30, 2006. Councils of EU cooperation with Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan are also expected to meet in Brussels in February 27-28.

It should be reminded that the first round of talks on working out the EU-Armenia Action Plan was held November 28, 2005. After the talks Armenian Deputy FM Armen Bayburdyan and Eurocommission South Caucasus and Central Asia Department Chief Kurt Juul stated the parties "are very content" with the talks and they plan to complete the working out of the Action plan "as soon as possible", reported Mediamax.
