EU-Armenia cooperation: from partnership to neighbourhood
A conference on the development of relations between the European Union and Armenia in the framework of the new European Neighbourhood Policy.
CEPS, 16/2/2005
The EC has invited Armenia into its neighbourhood policy framework:
the ENP. This framework supposes a wide range of economic, political
and societal reforms and transformations so that the parties can
enhance both the scope and magnitude of their cooperation based on
European values of democracy, human rights and rule of law. The
formulation of this policy as it applies to Armenia will be based on a "Country Report" currently being drafted.
In light of these developments, the CEPS is organizing this
workshop bringing together leading national policy-makers,
representatives of the EU institutions and civil society to discuss the
concept, the content and implications of the ENP for Armenia.
