A budget line in order to promote the mobility of older persons
Title: Cooperation and exchange projects designed to improve the mobility of older persons.
Overall objective: To encourage the establishment of exchange programmes for the elderly through specialized organisations tasked with developing, inter alia, resources for mobility and the adaptation of infrastructure.
Deadline: 17 May 2004
Specific objectives:
- to overcome the obstacles which older people may face if they wish to play a full part in social and cultural activities or have contact with people of other generations.
- to enable older persons to acquire skills (including linguistic proficiencies), make the most of skills acquired previously and share their experiences.
Type of actions: Short-term stays in another EU Member State
Location: EU
Beneficiaries: Non-profit making organisations, constituted and registered in a Member State
Max . and min. grants: Between 300 000 € and 600 000 €
